I originally started to collate the data for my quarter peal ringing in 2004 when I kept a record on my website. I searched through my notes as well as the ringing world magazine to find the information. Sadly I stopped doing this towards the end of 2006. At least around then, much of the record keeping countrywide was electronic.
During the intervening period, different versions of my website came and went and this information ended up being archived and then it’s location forgotten about.
Today 1 April 2016 I happened across the archives (which were missed on the big interweb archive site) and have merged the data with my proper list.
There are some discrepancies; dates that don’t tie in, performances on either list but not both. And it’s getting tough to confirm what data is correct. I know for certain that one of the performances on here whilst the QP took place, one of the methods shown is definitely wrong. Something that one might expect to be a simple task has been far from that.
I’ve kept a copy of this 2006 list as it contains additional information I’ve not got in some places such as my ringing position. So far from it being obsolete, it has provided a window back in time and links knowledge I had back then to the present.
