Early bell ringing

I learned to ring at Nantwich Parish Church during a national drive in 1999 for the Millennium Celebrations and split my time between here and at  Wistaston Parish Church.

Current bell ringing

In 2003 I took over the tower captaincy at Norbury Parish Church in Hazel Grove,  Stockport.

Peal ringing

I rang my first full-length peal at Wistaston in 2002 and the majority of my longer-length ringing has taken place there although I ‘retired’ from peal ringing in 2007. I’ve rung four peals since making that decision; two on handbells and two occasional peals in 2012 to commemorate the Jubilee Celebrations and to mark the horrific murders of two on-duty police officers not far from the church at  Mottram in Longdendale. Will I ring another peal? Never say never, but it’s not on the priorities list.

My Full Peal records are here.

Quarter Peal ringing

I tend to stick with quarter-peal length ringing for performances rather than anything longer.

My Quarter Peal records are here.
